Certificate in Psychic, Energy and Land Healing

What’s it about?

A two year course teaching the skills needed to practice psychic and energy healing and working with the more-than-human realm to facilitate healing of and with the land.

The course involves a deep awareness of the more-than-human, the spirit realms, and the numinous Earth. These are core skills on the shamanic path. It’s about rediscovering the magic of being alive, working with all your senses to connect with other beings and learning to be of service, helping others with their healing journey.

What’s involved?

The course offers teachings to deepen your sensory awareness, to connect with your psychic senses and become aware of the more-than-human realm in your day-to-day, embodied, life.

Divided into two parts, with a break in between, each held during one year and involving several in person gatherings and additional online sessions. The first year is known as “Belonging to the Land: an Animist Journey” and the second part is known as “Living a Shamanic Life.” Detailed below.

Alongside the teaching elements of the course, there is the option of joining a Signal group for participants to deepen their journey with each other, held by Samara. There are also several 1-1 mentoring appointments with Samara built into the course.

During the second year, participants are invited to do case studies on the techniques that are taught and, successful completion of these will lead to a certificate being awarded at the end of the course.

The certificate will enable you to practice psychic and energy healing with people, psychic readings, energy healing with more-than-humans and land healing, including house healings and assisting earthbound spirits to pass on to the next realm.

Objectives

Shamanism is a long path, in essence about mediating between the physical and the spirit realms. It takes time to build solid relationships with spirit beings and to become adept at navigating your own life alongside walking between the worlds. There are two aspects to the practice of shamanism – the skill of travelling within the spirit realms and the skill of what I call “practicing animism,” which is about developing a physical awareness of and connection with more-than-humans in the land.

Working with others to help them in their healing journey takes time to develop. Although the course teaches practices that are core to shamanism, the course does not teach techniques for shamanic healing, such as soul retrieval, as these are more advanced skills. However, the course does provide skills that are essential on the path to become a shamanic healer and, on occasion, I do teach these skills following successful completion of this course.

Considerations

This is advanced work and not suitable for everyone, as it entails a very rooted connection with the Earth and your body and the ability to effectively protect yourself and control your experiences within the spirit realm. Participation on the course is limited, both to those who have already completed the Deep Dive into Shamanism course, which teaches the practice of shamanic journeying, and by Samara’s invitation.

To get the most out of the course, it would be beneficial to see the structure of the teaching element as only one aspect of it, as the practices taught only become viable with practice. Participants are strongly encouraged to see the course as a life-path and one which they have space and capacity to engage with beyond the taught modules.

There are some 1-1 mentoring sessions with Samara built into the course but it would be beneficial to consider monthly mentoring throughout the length of the course, as there is purposefully a long break in between the two parts of the course to enable participants to practice and refine the techniques taught. You may wish to budget for this potential extra expense.

Additionally, while the course offers a certificate to work with people, it doesn’t particularly teach the skills to hold clients. Therefore, it would be beneficial for participants to have (or obtain) wider knowledge of working with people in a 1-1 healing capacity, for instance in trauma informed coaching or counselling.

  • You have developed a regular practice of spiritual protection and connection with your spirit guides,

  • You are generally grounded and have robust awareness of and ability to function within the physical realm,

  • You have been working on your own psychological healing journey, with or without professional support and have awareness of different modalities and concepts,

  • You find peace in nature and want to deepen your connection with more-than-human beings,

  • You are willing to explore your experiences within a small group,

  • You are open minded,

  • You have time and capacity to dedicate to developing the practices taught on the course. Expectations will vary depending on what is being taught but at the very least this would involve about 30-60 minutes a day.

 Ideally, you would…

  • Have prior experience of working with people in a therapeutic sense,

  • Be trauma informed and have some counselling skills

The course wouldn’t suit you if…

  • You are sceptical about the existence of spirit,

  • You are currently struggling with your mental health or have recently had experiences which led to psychiatric intervention and medication,

  • You struggle to be in your body and/ or are aware that you frequently dissociate,

  • You do not have genuine connection with nature or enjoy spending time in wilder places, particularly with camping,

  • You do not have time or energy capacity to engage with the course in between contact time,

  • You cannot commit to attending the whole programme.

The list is not designed to put you off, more to enable a pause and refine your thinking before choosing to sign up. If you have questions on any of the above, please get in touch.

The spaces I offer are neurodivergent friendly and small. I am neurodivergent myself and understand the edges involved in coming together with a group of strangers to dive into work that can be personal and challenging. I do my best to help everyone feel comfortable and safe.

I hold an inclusive space free of judgement and shame. I invite people to bring their true selves fully into the space. Sharing is not timed and is optional, there is zero pressure to do or say anything and no question is too much.

Practicals

Held over two years with regular meetings, both online and via nine, 3-5 day in person gatherings held in Devon, England.

Pricing is per year and has three different levels: “supporting” £3000, “standard” £2500, and “supported” £2000. The course is limited to 8-10 participants and the amount of “supported” places are limited to the corresponding amount of “supporting” places. For avoidance of doubt, the standard fee is £2500 per year.

The fee includes accommodation (occasionally this is simply the capacity to camp and you will need to provide your own camping equipment), some of the food, all equipment and materials needed (for instance, to make a shamanic drum), all tuition and holding throughout the taught elements of the course by Samara and assistants and up to 9 individual mentoring sessions with Samara over the two years of the course (5x in year one and 4x in year two).

It is advisable that you consider booking additional individual mentoring sessions with Samara throughout the course to facilitate your progress, where needed and depending on availability. These would have an additional charge.

The course is partially catered with local and organic vegetarian food. You will be invited to bring food to share for some of the meals and, at times we will all cook together, as part of the deepening connection that the course entails.

To book, please get in touch by email: samara@rewildingthesoul.org to discuss availability and payment options. A deposit and completion of a booking form will be necessary to book your space.

Please read the Terms and Conditions before booking.
